Ferdinand of Bavaria (1577-1650) became prince-elector archbishop of Cologne and prince-bishop of Munster, Paderborn, Liège, and Hildesheim in 1612. His nephew Maximilian Henry of Bavaria (p. 16) succeeded him in several offices upon his death. Notations written in several different hands about his birth, death, and various titles surround the coat of arms.

Maximilian I of Bavaria was a duke of Bavaria and prince-elector of the Holy Roman Empire.

Maximilian Henry of Bavaria succeeded his uncle Ferdinand of Bavaria (p. 13) as prince-elector archbishop of Cologne and prince-bishop of Hildesheim and Liège in 1650 (upon Ferdinand's death).

Several hands have made notes on the birth, life, and death of Arnoldus Erlenwein, brother of the book's owner, the most important set in dark brown ink around the top of the coat of arms. This notation credits him as a clergyman of a monastery in Westphalia, as well as pastor of a church Olpfen (now Olfen) for only one night before his death on January 16, 1645 at the age of 48.

Catharina Heusst Bonnensis; index: Heu[ss]t

As seen on many pages, this inscription includes a Latinized place name: Bonn. The personal inscription was written by Joannes Carolus Erlenwein on behalf of his mother, Catharina Heusst of Bonn, who died on October 6, 1605 ("1605.6.8bris").

Susanna Erlenwein was the older sister of the book's owner, Johannes Carolus Erlenwein. A later hand has added the dates of her birth and death: 1590 to April 12, 1663. The index hand has also added a note on her marriage to Valentinus Kurtzrock, the date of his death on February 17, 1660, and a reference to Kurtzrock's own inscription on p. 200a.

A later hand has added the birth and death dates of Maria Elisabeth Erlenwein in brown ink: June 11, 1595 to March 1, 1632; this hand has also noted the May 1618 marriage of Maria Elisabeth to the Gerolt family. In black ink, the index hand identifies Georg Gerolt as her husband, as well as noting that Maria Elisabeth was Johannes Carolus Erlenwein's twin sister with reference to the notes before p. 1. In blue crayon (?), a final hand written in French refers to an office held by Georg Gerolt.

The death date of May 24, 1624 included in the personal inscription space indicates that this page may have been created in honor of the deceased first husband of the wife of the book's owner, whose arms are on the following page (p. 43).

Based on the inscription, Adelheidis von der Heussen, born September 8, 1584, was first married to a certain Sonborn on February 28, 1612, and then to Johannes Carolus Erlenwein (the book's owner) on November 10, 1624. The Sonborn family arms on the preceding page might refer to her first husband, as a death date in May 1624 is noted for Friedrich Sonborn. In darker brown ink, a later hand has added the birth dates of Ferdinand and Theobald, the sons (?) of the book's owner.
